Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sell within Europe, Asia Pacific or the Middle East and North Africa?
Learn how to sell within a region or in a country outside Europe/the UK by visiting the following websites:
How much does it cost to sell globally from Europe?
The costs of selling with Amazon vary by store and product. They may also depend on the tools, programmes and services you choose.

Selling plan fees
There are separate Professional selling plan fees for regional accounts in the Americas and Europe, and for country-specific accounts in Asia Pacific and the Middle East and North Africa. However, if you link global Amazon selling accounts, your monthly fee will equal either $39.99 per month or the sum of the selling plan fees for each region and country where you have active listings, whichever is lower.

Referral Fees
Referral fees vary depending on the product category. For each item sold, you pay either a percentage of the total price or a minimum amount, whichever is greater.

Costs of optional services
In addition to selling fees, you may incur additional costs if you use certain optional tools and programmes such as Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) or Amazon Ads. In the end, you control your selling costs in the Amazon store by choosing the programmes, tools and services that are right for your business.
Can I sell the same products in all countries?
Product requirements vary by country. You should review the specific product compliance, safety and listing requirements in each country you plan to sell in. You can use our compliance reference tool to navigate product requirements and watch our video “Essentials for Amazon Selling Partners expanding globally” for more information.

How does customs work when I expand globally?
When you expand your business to an Amazon store outside your home country and fulfil orders with Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) or a third-party provider, you need to understand your obligations in the import and export process. While you may want to handle some or all of these import and export steps yourself, it may be easier to hire a logistics provider such as a customs broker or freight forwarder to handle the process for you. These providers may have the expertise and time to ensure that your inventory is moved from one location to another quickly and safely.

You can also use services such as Amazon Global Logistics, which offers door-to-door sea freight and includes customs support.

Can I sell my brand outside my home store?

If your brand is registered in Amazon Brand Registry, you can transfer your trademark rights to your destination store and sell under your own brand.

Do I need a new company or legal entity to sell with Amazon in a new country?
If you are a business outside the destination store, you may not need to set up a new entity to sell your products there. However, depending on the specifics of your business and your selling strategy, it may be beneficial to do so.
Are my product reviews transferred from my home store to global Amazon stores?
Yes, but only initially. If there are no customer reviews for a product in your destination store, the most recent reviews from your home store will be displayed. These imported reviews remain visible until the product starts receiving local reviews. When you use the Build International Listings tool to cross-list products in global Amazon stores, customer reviews are transferred on the product detail page, but not on the search results page or in the bestseller ranking.
